All communications are through my headset when its switched on, all other sound is through my amp/TV, no idea why this differs from Daves. Must be a simple setting.

I have in the past had problems with the PS3 picking up the headset, i've found that by deleting the pairing and then pairing them again it tends to work fine. Good luck sorting it.
