Basically yes it's the XR engine. However, the donor car was not an XR. It was an 88 Ford Thunderbird. That engine was rated at 20 HP over the XR, but it's still a Lima engine.

These engine are extremely stout. I was very poorly tuned when I last dynoed it and left ALOT on the table. Once it's running again I expect at least 300-325 at the wheels before I even tune it properly.
