do you really think it is better then?i mean...not alot of people take the age and abuse in consideration when they judge the "quality" of the 4*4 system, i mean..if you overhaul the 4*4 box...new synros...new bearings and adjust the drives...that will make it pretty good and take some good abuse...but i mean everything breaks if you abuse it enough.

yes but how much power/torque can it take before it breaks something?
iv just brought a brand new straightcut quaife box for my 2wd saph and a new quaife atb diff for less than its going to cost for a good 4x4 gearbox
i know my transmission will be good for 450-500bhp day in day out.
