Fine for a road car, but the temps would creep up higher on track to beyond the normal trigger point and would back off power when the fuelling was spot on, but it was only the heat build up from continuous flat out driving that was causing the high temps. Also, it would depend on how the power was backed off, as it would have to back the boost off, as retarding the ignition would just exasperate the EGT issues....
