I always live by the rule if it was going to cause damage, the manufacturer wouldn't allow it.

My mate got a 1.7d 205 as a runaround last year, was a one old lady owner car... Was absolute wank, wouldnt get above 80.
We hammered the living fuck out of it for a week or so, made it drive so much nicer and went on to achieve the prestigious 102mph award
