I've been very happy with the medium compound R888s I've got - to be honest though I've not tried the others.

Worth a mention though is that there was a test of different trackday tyres in 225/40 x 18 on an E46 3-series and the Kumho came out top.
Tested were the Kumho Ecsta V70A, Mich Pilot Sport Cup, Pirelli P-Zero Corsa, R888 and Advan A048. Pilots and R888s were very close behind and I wouldn't be surprised if the Kumho traded absolute grip for a faster wear rate
