Sorry fella, I think you are pissing in the wind on this one. As to why you could not get your car back sooner, once it's been 'impounded', ie, recovery requested thats it. The recovery operator wants his money so your car is going. Once it's recovered off the road then any arguments over time scales etc are between you and them, not us.

If it was to happen with us, then its £105 recovery plus £12 storage, these prices are set by the recovery operator. If we get it wrong then you can claim the money back, (but you still have to pay it initially), and then WE have to pay the recovery people £65.

So, police do not gain financially out of it.
