We use newman cams in all our CVH engines, and have never had anything you would call a failure. HOwever we do get what I can only call "crazy paving" on the top face of the follower, where the rocker has been in contact with the adjusting screw in the follower. This however has not caused any issues, but it does seem to be a relatively common occurance.
