Gold scart lead is pointless unless the scart connectors on the TV are also gold. The coating on the metal doesn't play any factor unless they are both the same, as it's all about surface to surface conductivity. A nickle scart socket and gold plated scart plug will actually give WORSE results than using a £2.99 nickle scart lead!
