Yeah i've had a 1.8 LS before and it was OK as a runabout but not a patch on the 2.0 SRi I had before it. Just to add (seeing as your local) my daily commute (5 days a week) takes me from Guisborough all the way up the A19 to Washington so need something that doesn't mind the 80 mile round trip gives good performance and is economical. The Saxo is bloody good on a run and ok nipping around town, going off my last 1.8 Vectra they do drink fuel...
