a gt3076r is ideal for a vtec, will have full boost by 5,500 rpm-ish...but will rev round to 9k easy so a good powerband

honda lads dont tend to run high boost on a smaller turbo, CR is usually 9:1 on a built engine so boost is kept lower on a bigger turbo.

as has already been said it helps with launching etc...just look at that civic with 450 bhp it did 11 dead
