the 4wd set up is that way because the front wheels are "driven"
if you remove the "drive" the suspension and steering no longer need to control the extra bits, plus when youput your foot down the front won't try and straighten up soyou would be forever correcting the steering
totaly different from blowing the transfer box and not having any drive getting to the front wheels as the transfer box does this to match the rotation of the front and rear props only
