Far from being STOLEN , the U.S will have paid the Beeb good money for the rights to use the format, as all countries do when using an existing program format.
The U.K version will have failed to the mass U.S audience due to difficulty in understanding the presenters accents, the U.K dry humour and the programme content being mostly European based.
The U.S version will be more appropriate to a U.S audience.
I'm a Mustang owner but would have no interest in a U.S presented programme reviewing U.S cars.
Building or modifying U.S cars as A-Hotrod etc yes.
The U.S have been buying programmes from the U.K for decades, as we have also been buying theirs.
