I've never had any cooling issue's despite the fact that I have always run a standard rad, but know of cars with alloy rads that overheat. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The standard one works fine.

As long as you don't expect too much of it. I run twin fans and have altered the bumper to aid airflow. I also run an 82° Thermostat.
