its always fun racing something that turns out to be faster than you as it makes u want more power, glad to see u didnt slag the nova off just cause it beat u like most people do

just worked out what power to weight ratio the nova and impreza would be and if u raced from a rolling start u can see why u got beat

a 700kg 150 bhp red top nova has a power to weight ratio of 217 bhp per ton

a 1400kg 230 bhp impreza has a power to weight ratio of 166 bhp per ton

nova

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 150Weight without Driver (KG) : 700Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 217.730 - 60 (Secs) : 5.460 - 100 (Secs) : 14.1160 - 100 (Secs) : 8.65Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.91Terminal Speed (MPH) : 99.30Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.71Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 101.13

impreza

and they are flywheel figures so once you take into account drivetrain losses plus the nova was stripped out you can see why 16v novas are so quick
