I used to own one & loved it - brilliant fun car & an uprated exhaust, decent enclosed air filter & a simple ecu re-map improves the car a lot
As said before though they are expensive to run petrol wise & if you happen to prang one (even very lightly) dont expect it to be cheap to fix - the rear bumper alone on the mk2 is £1200 (unpainted) the plastic vent that goes into the rear bumper pushes close to £400 & also insurers like to try & write cars off with a simple side pod damage as "too expensive to repair"
