Totally agree mate. Try a 115 bhp Mondeo TDCi for example. In a situation were you almost come to a stop and then drive off again, you'll have to go back to first (poor synchro!) because in 2nd it would nearly stall.

Petrol cars are just soo much smoother to drive.
