HI,
compression test wont confirm valve seals, only rings, valves, headgasket,
not true, do a WET and dry test, a wet test uses oil to seal the rings eliminating them from the equation leaving the only possible escape through the Guides/stem seals and headgasket, if compressions are considerably higher on all cylinder on a wet test it is possible that you have worn rings/bores etc BUT if the wet test reviels nearly the same results as a dry test then look elsewhere for problems
