You have to ask your self why its went also.

It could be just that it is old.

or usually the fuel pump starts to deteriorate drawing more current from the battery, heating the relay up, drying it out and the solder cracks. once its been running for a bit, feel if the relay/wiring is warm!

if so the pump is probably on its way out.

Im sure its possible to rewire it for another type of relay, something more readily available and better designed!
