ok then einstein, please enlighten me and show a proper test with actual results ( not around town, "it feels well better" ). magazines always check the difference on dyno`s not the road and also state that better inlet temps would be visible on the road when using a cone filter over it being used on a dyno ie it would therefore also make more power and because of how close the two perform on the dyno it would prob mean it being better for all out power.
at the end of the day it doesnt matter if the car is 20 years old or brand new, until a creditable person does a test and publishes the results for on the road temps and power we will never know, we are all just relying on what our tuner recommends or what we, as individuals, prefer.
maybe the best of both worlds would prob be a custom enclosure around a cone filter.
