ive never known an in tank pump to be as loud as you have described.

are you sure its fitted correctly into the fuel sender assembly, and then also fitted correctly into the actual tank?

id just guess that its resonating against something else which in turn is making it sound alot louder than normal.

what pump have you gone for, '023' by any chance?
