as Kelv said the belt is not tightened manually, it has an auto tensioner, sometimes the auto tensioner gets weak & lets the belt get a bit slack thus causing noise.
That maybe the problem then, i'm off down to Fords later today don't suppose youve got the FINIS code for the part i'd need?
