my 3 door is giving me serious paranoia-keep kids away,dust it off all the time,drive it nice and slow,clean the wheels ever time i go out!im not a bufty so its doing my head in.........

the exact same problem i have, hence why im thinking of px ing the escort for a saff, so i can drive it with out the worry.
id say slightly modified with near standard looks is the best route.
all a decent car should need is some nice wheels and lowering.
mechanical wise its nice to have useable power, rather than worry about the engine rebuild every few months!
