Them cutouts are there for a reason, reason being that when the suspension is nearly bottoming out it will foul the chassis leg on the shaft. Chances are you wouldnt actually hit it during normal driving but a pot hole or similar could spell damage.

It's 1-2hrs with a grinder and welder for a competent person though tbh. so not a big deal to rectify....infact probably a good bargain tool for you

I have a load of 4x4 parts due to go up for sale soon so if theres anything your short of fire me a pm & i'll let you know if I have it or not.
