done them alot tighter and it still pisses in. Where i have done them tight; the cam cap studs have stared to indent through the rocker cover so i guess this is too tight

Theres your problem then,the cam cap studs are stopping the cover going down tight.
Have you replaced the cam cap studs????????
Funny they are that high if you haven't changed them.
