going with a gigabite board myself, as they use solid capacitors so last longer and have heard more good then bad things about them tbh.

asus main issues seem to be funny with types of ram, plus a few other things which just put me off. although im sure there just as good.

going with a p35 chipset, as the x38 doesnt offer anything more clockingwise and the only reason to go with it is for crossfire. at over £50 above the p35, i'd rather put the money towards the graphics card.

sli have just released a brand new chip set which is ment to be promising with clocking but your looking at near 200 for one at the mo.

have u looked at the Q6700/Q9300? they come down in price alot and may offer better clocking with the ram you get
