CVH 1.6 or Zetec are the only choices imho

I simply do not understand removing the zetec head to replace it with a 8v head required for the ZVH unless you have a megabucks super ported one, if your starting from scratch I would always use the 16v head.

With a budget of 3k I would personally build a decent CVH and run it on decent management
