Hi I have a problem with my escort van; when you let go of the steering wheel it veers to the left. I have had the tracking checked and adjusted by two independant tyre places and it is ok. I have also had a four wheel alignment done by ford, they said the front is fine, but the back is out by 15 degrees and the chap said he thinks it is the rear leaf springs, he reckons one of them is worn and that is why the van is veering over to the left.

If you look at the van is does seem to have dropped at the back left side a bit. Also the gap between the edge of the rear tyre and the front of the rear wheel arch is slightly different on each side.

The ford chap said that the van does not look like it has been in a crash, so its not that.

Im a bit reluctant to get the rear springs changed as they are not cheap, can anyone help with this im getting desperate!
