Hi all,

Firstly, i am new to passionford! Just got myself a nice Series 1 Escourt RS Turbo. I use to drive a Mondeo ST200 but i have sold it on (only had 36k on the clock). I hope im not being rude by making my first post needing help!

Firstly, i am not mechanically minded, very little knowledge lol.

The Clutch on my RS seems really stiff, i have to put the thing right to the floor to change gear (duh! lol), It seems to only allow for gear change when its right to the floor, where as other cars i have driven bite half way(ish) - This could be how RS's drive though right?

Whats annoying is getting the "bite" because its stiff, its obviously not smooth, therefore getting the sweet spot for first gear has "taken practice" to perfect, im just wondering if i am able to get a garage to look at it to free it up a little bit? New cable perhaps?

Dont get me wrong, i love the car to bits an always have, if this is the way it drives then thats cool, but if i can make it smoother, i would feel better all round!
