I ran both on mine but the thermo type plate is a bad idea because after it opens oil pressure drops ,if you set oil pressure with it closed to have correct pressure when its hot the pressure would have to be very high. Guess thats as clear as mud.
my new 1 has no water cooled or heater on it if that helps lol
