For those that are worried about Battery trays, you might also want to take a look up at the top of the bulkhead above the Pedal Cluster, from inside the car. Its the bit under the Wiper motor, but look from inside the car.

Thats normally nasty too and there doesn't appear to be a repair panel that covers that, except the one that does the whole bulkhead from the Fuse box to the Battery tray. There is normally grot down onto the vertical part of the bulkhead too.
