wake up please, as for the why dont i run a full works car - well i was going to buy a full works car so cost is not an option, but i wanted it to be better - so weve taken a lot of the best works stuff and made some of it better than it was in 1994(it was 14 years ago !) and are building it to be even better - and no, i havent won the lottery, you would be surprised how much cheaper to maintain a well built car is, i.e no cheap gearbox every 10 mins, by the time youve fitted 5 boxes and 10 diffs you could have bought half decent stuff anyway - as for the diffs- if your serious and have around 6k(ish) to spend pm me.
so 6k ish isn't just under 3k a diff then? Like I said in the first place.
But to be fair, both you and tim live and breath rallying, you have to remember whilst you are right in essence about spending 15k on transmission, 99% of people cannot/ don't want to spend that sort of cash on it.
Please don't take this as falling out/ angry post, just an honest opinion
I respect your experience and Tims, just hard for you to see it from a normal car owner type of perspective.
