after a previous post where peole got the hump about being called av "nerds" i have subtly changed the heading so that you will henceforth be appropriated a title that is not going to nerd you all into the same group
the question is this:
haveing gone to the shop to buy an hdmi switer, i was confronted by so much techogeekery that i didn't buy what i wanted to buy in the first place
the switch is rated as being hdmi 1.3
some of the cables i was going to buy were rated at 1.1 and some at 1.2 (these were twice the price of the 1.1 versions)
so the question is, what's it all about?
and no directing me to av forums posts where they go all explaining on me and confusing me with gobbledegook, i just need a simplified version of what the numbers are and if it's worth paying the extra for them or not
will i see any benifits from the set up i curnetly have (skyHD, xbox 360 component inputs, computer hdmi input, dvd player/recorder with 1080i upscaling, possibly ps3 purchase)?
