It's not great and we've all been spanked for the high premiums but it's life. And put yourself in the insurer's shoes.... if it was my money, I wouldn't insure a 17 year old bloke for ANY price.
Then what the fuck is the point of getting a drivers licence if that's going to be the attitude of the insurer! Might as well raise the driving age to 25 or whatever seems acceptable. But the fact is whether you be 17 or 27 you are still a newly qualified driver with no previous driving experience.
