Could I just clear this up!

With a normal car you turn the ignition on, the fuel pump runs then switches off till you start the car when it runs again till you switch the car off!

Is this just for safety?

Could you connect the pump so that it always runs? Whether the car is running or not!

IE. Turn on fuel pump, start car, run, stop, turn off engine, turn off fuel pump!
