the screamer pipe will be most beneficial when the exhaust cannot flow the required volume of air, therefore becoming a restriction... using a screamer in this situation has the same effect as a larger bore exhaust.

a screamer pipe which is then directed back into the exhaust is designed to reduce turbulance in the elbow/downpipe immediately after the wastegate... therefore reducing back pressure in the exhaust.
