Hi, I just bought a Escort Mk 5 with a RS turbo engine and I am having some problems with it. It has some mods done but I am not really sure. I know it has been converted to 1.9

Firstly it is ideling very bad, When I stop in traffic the ideling drops to 500 revs and then just cuts out or sometimes it revs to 2000 revs. It never idels correctly. I fitted a new trottle cable but that just stopped the car over ideling and is still under ideling and still cuts out.Car runs fine when on the move.

Also the car has no power sterring I was reading that I can get it converted to run power steering but I am not really sure what parts I will need..

Any help will be much appreciated..
