chammys are all rubbish, best to use a proper drying towel from cleanyourcar.co.uk imo
they DO scratch your paint because they are not soft, and rather than absorbing any fine dust left on the paint like a microfibre drying towel would, a chammy just drags it across the paint, causing swirls galore, you only need to look at a car thats been dried with a chammy in direct sun light to see that!
