Dom - because the CVH isn't as 'efficient' as a YB.
The 'idea' of the gunship conversion isn't really new either - my mate was running a similar strategy on his 3dr over 15 years ago. A mid range spike is okay, as you have the time to put the fuel in, whereas when you get to the top end of the rev's, you run out of time with the smaller injector.
As for the Honda thing - US tuning ideas seem different to the UK, and different cars have different traits and foibles. Plus there's many ways to skin a cat (just remember you only get one go per cat, lol) If a method works, it works - it won't stop people arguing their way is best though....
