Not true. Totally depends on your contract. And no matter what your contract says, you're basically screwed. Almost all modern day contracts have a bit in them about doing as your asked. Its one of the very first things they teach you when you're learning about contracts.

Basically they say something along the lines of 'You'll do whatever we ask, whenever we ask, or you'll bend over the desk' but in legal speak.
