Not worth doing until someone pays for all the type approval - which at in excess of £4k is going to put most people off from doing it. You need to find a dealer willing to make the jump, who can then make the money back by charging an amount to all the other people who then want the relevant paperwork. The trouble is, that unless you get firm orders, you won;t know how much to charge to recoup your money, hence why there seems to be a sticking point at the moment....
So as I understand it I buy a top spec with all options GTR for say 35k inc Jap deregistration then 2.5k for container shipping to the UK then VAT on the 37.5k so thats approx 45k Then import duty @ ??% then 4k to make it road legal so low 50s on the road?
