I think that everyone did a great job of building the car, and I think that it's all Mike's fault, as I'm sure he asked for 2 bar .

I think it another 1.7 litre lump should be purchased and it mapped for a nice conservative 1.2 bar - you know how quick it was on 0.8 - will be as cheap as cheaps and will use all the parts you already have. Personally to throw all the intercooler / trubo etc in the bin, just doesn't make sense when another Renault 1.7 litre engine can be picked up for next to nothing. You just need some time mapping it then WELL BEFORE the track day, not on the day .
