Default opinions please!

I have just bought a nice 3 door which is fine apart from a set of wheels that do not suit it,and i would like to fit a set of standard 3 door alloys as they suit the car....the car currently has 17" chav wheels, standard brakes, koni suspension and a newly built 420bhp grp a spec tommy field engine!!! I really want to put standard wheels back on and the car will only be used on dry days and no track days,so would it be good/stupid/unwise/insane/ if i did this, bearing in mind the power from engine.this is what i plan...

1-3 door alloys with toyo R888's for just fast road use now and again
2-If possible, big disc kit using spaced standard calipers to give a little bit more in the stopping department

My old sapphire had 380bhp and was fine on the road with standard brakes and koni suspension, but it had 17" wheels and r888's.

opinions please

regards mark
