As above try changing the filter, did mine and it was also like pond water coming out with lots of shit mixed in, knackered my pump up too.
Filter still looked like new on outside and thats the mistake many people make that if it looks ok on outside then its ok on inside.
But for not so much coin its worth changing if unsure.
