I was sat watching a film at 1.00 am this morning when the earthquake occurred. There was a huge rumblng noise, pots shook, the furniture shook (including mi settee with me on it), totally freaked me out! Thought at first either our boiler had blown up or we'd had a gas explosion.

Didn't stick around in the living room to find out though, went straight upstairs to wake Keith up... when we came back downstairs, we heard another noise (which was actually our daughter falling out of bed) and then I heard another bang which was my neighbour coming out of her house. She'd felt it too which made me feel better cos at first I thought I had a mad poltergeist shaking mi settee from behind me!!! Only 3 of the neighbours came out... others say they got woken up by it but didn't know what it was... can't believe for a minute they did feel it cos if I had been shaken awake in bed like that, the lights would have been on and I would have been off to investigate!

It was very scary, can't wait to get to work later on to find out if the girls that were still at work in Leeds could feel it 6 floors up....
