No max speed limit, No cameras, so glad I had my fun in those days & not in this rule infested age.
Must admit the days of fast modded cars are nearing their end will give it 10 years & then the on slaught of the evil motorist will really hot up.

Rod you are correct, you could have fun back then, ok the cars were not so fast but the roads were better, in that there wasn't a straight bit of road to be found.

I remember when my mates and I managed to get an old BSA 350 running, it was 1968. The whole afternoon 4 of us took it in turns to blast up and down the road, until we ran out of petrol. I think it cost about about equiv of 10p a gallon.

the problem then was not the police finding out rather our fathers.
no licence, no insurance, nothing. (my dad was ok, he taught me to drive the tracktor when I was 10, also on the road, no licence)

How would the present gov ban fast cars? what is a fast car? Racing bikes will be banned soon, we'll have to ride mountain bikes with 13" wheels, short gearing, airbags on every limb, etc, etc.

Right now even some german groups are calling for speed limits on the Autobahn, whats the world coming to.
