I woudn't want to move the rack sideways more than a centimeter. I just bought a Bluebird rack and I'll tell you some measurements when I get it to my hands. I once measured one that was still in a car, and it seems like it might bolt to the RST bulkhead directly. Same kind if bolting clamps with equal spacing.

It seems that the BLuebird rack is used in mk1 Golf PAS conversions. There are a lot of pictures available from the mk1 golf PAS conversions on the web.
