Bit of a random one this, I also apologise in advance if this thread is in the wrong section.

Anyway, does a escort cosworth and escort XR3i/RS2000 (mk.5) have the same plug connector which plugs in to the back of the clocks? (speedo, rev counter, etc)

I know they are diffrent clocks, just want to know if I could plug XR3i clocks in to my cossie basicly? Or would I have to cut a bit of the XR3i's loom out and wire it in to the cossie?
