nono, i qouted a bit wrong.
it was this i was supposed to comment:
Lacked actual plot, and ending was somewhat fucking open!

the movie is supposed to be open, what caused the liberty head to end up in the street, where the beast came from, and so on is not revealed.
cause its only a tape from a camera.
And if there had been a story of where it came from, how it ended after the tape had ran out and so on would ruin the great idea behind the movie.
I take your point, but I still think it lacked plot. I realise that I may be asking a lot, but on analysis - if you put aside the original concept that the film was shot in the first person (via a camcorder), what are you left with?

Is that single idea enough to compensate for the lack of explanation of several of the key points? I guess that this is subjective. It depends on what you look for in a movie. There is a fine line between an unanswered question that remains so to be clever, and those that remain unanswered simply becuase they couldnt think of the answer.
