right ive got a panasonic camcorder, cost me about 130 2 years ago, uses mini DV tapes , so 60mins record time on a tape, came with software and a usb cable.

plug it in to the pc and transfer the video, pretty straight forward, editings where it went over my head, no real expert at all, this is just what i use
